The sky was incredible this day and the iPhone takes great photos!
Arrived in Paris Friday. Our 3 international phones didn't work to call the apartment people to arrange meeting up with them. So it was a taxi ride directly to their office and asking in limited French which unmarked door was the apartment management. Thankfully, a young kind Frenchman helped us locate it. Two bedroom apartment in the 4th Arrondissement (Marais),very centrally located with tons of great shopping, cafes, ancient historic beautiful buildings and a lively atmosphere. Saturday was cathedral day, St. Paul, Notre Dame visited during a Saturday evening mass including hearing the organ play and beautiful singing, St. Chappelle and Lycée Charlemagne where the Jews were taken by French Police in 1942-1944. Today visited Conciergerie where Marie Antoinette and others were imprisoned before executed during the French Revolution, Musee d'Orsay and the Jardin des Tuileries. No metro, just walking. Rain last night and showery tonight! One of the group, who at this time will remain unnamed, had 135 euros fall out of their wallet onto the cheese shop floor, unbeknownst to this person. It was over an hour later that the missing euros were noted so we all retraced our steps through the streets of the Marais and inquired at the shops about finding the lost euros. The fromangerie reunited one of the three M's with the missing euros!!! Incroyable!! Such honesty!!!
